Background Information on AAAS Meeting
AAAS Annual Meeting in St. Louis will explore the universe of science and technology. In-depth seminars will examine the biomedical and social ramifications of nanotechnology, the physics and economics of virtual worlds and the frontiers of mathematics. A special half-day event for teachers will explore the challenges to teaching evolution. Plenary lectures will feature some of the world’s most accomplished science and science policy thinkers. The popular Family Science Days will be back, of course. And a wide variety of career workshops will resonate with both young and senior scientists.

Altogether, AAAS Annual Meeting will feature more than 200 symposia, topical lectures, special events and other sessions.
